Mr. Pompa is known for his work across many genres, including classical, musical theatre, sacred music, and pop music. In schools, he champions collaborations with band, orchestra, theatre, visual art, and dance classes to produce unique performances that have achieved audience acclaim. His choruses consistently earn excellent and superior ratings at county- and state-level adjudications.
He advocates for traditional Christian liturgical music, leading his choirs to sing the most beautiful, meaningful music the Church has produced. A member of the Orthodox Church, Mr. Pompa is equally at home in traditional Anglican, Catholic, and Reformed sacred music. He adores playing John Wesley United Methodist Church’s 1921 Moller organ. He plans on starting seminary Fall 2024 in order to pursue ministry full time.
He lives in western Maryland with his wife, children, animals, and books.
Stephen believes that everyone can learn to sing, and that everyone should have access to church choirs, even in the midst of their busy schedules. Contact him today at [email protected] for more information.
