Every September the Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC), Rotary Clubs, the United Way, and the Early Childhood Advisory Council team up to hold a Community Book Drive. Books are collected for children under eleven years old. At the end of the month the books are sorted, counted and boxed on the United Way’s Day of Caring. Then they are distributed to non-profit agencies throughout Washington County who will ensure they get into the hands of at-risk children.
John Wesley UMC is proud of our history of support and our role as a collection site. Your participation helps with important literacy efforts in Washington County!
