To reinforce to our children and youth that it is indeed more blessed to give than to receive, each year we “adopt” some strangers in need and help them have a less stressful holiday season. This past year our John Wesley Church family and friends made it possible for a  mom and her three daughters to receive gifts, gift cards and food boxes.  CASA’s (Citizens Assisting and Sheltering the Abused) deputy director (to whom the mom had turned for help) expressed her gratitude for our church participating in their program this Christmas season.  Thanks to each and every one of you who let God’s light and love shine through you by sharing the gifts that brightened Christmas for a Mom and her three daughters!
